ACVD/AAVD Research Award: May 2024

 

Research grants are offered by the ACVD/AAVD for basic or clinical research in veterinary dermatology. The total amount of funding available this year is up to $45,000. In case of any remaining funds at end of the project, they should be returned to the Executive Secretary of the ACVD. Proposals are due by May 1, 2024.

Student Award

AAVD is pleased to play a role in the effort to recognize excellence in veterinary medicine through an annual award to a senior veterinary student at each veterinary school who excels in Clinical Dermatology. The American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology respectfully honors each student’s individual accomplishments in addition to recognizing the single individual who excels in Clinical Dermatology.

Frank Král Award

​

​Background: In January 1964, Drs. Frank Král, George Muller, James Conroy and Robert Schwartzman met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to discuss the possibility of establishing an organization dedicated to the practice of veterinary dermatology. ​
