ACVD/AAVD Research Award
Research grants are offered by the ACVD/AAVD for basic or clinical research in veterinary dermatology. The total amount of funding available in 2025 is up to $60,000. In case of any remaining funds at end of the project, they should be returned to the Executive Secretary of the ACVD.

Student Award
The American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology is pleased to play a role in the effort to recognize excellence in veterinary medicine through an annual award to a senior veterinary student at each veterinary school who excels in Clinical Dermatology. The AAVD respectfully honors each student’s individual accomplishments in addition to recognizing the single individual who excels in Clinical Dermatology. Nominations are collected from January-March each year.

Frank Král Award​
The Frank Král Award for Achievements in Veterinary Dermatology provides an avenue for recognition of outstanding achievements and dedicated service to the veterinary profession and specialty of veterinary dermatology by current members of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology (AAVD).
